Then why was he on the bench?
trout man wrote:Maybe the best thing to have happened to us. The two draws by arsenal and chavs last round gave us breathing room, we took our eye of the focus and tonight was the result. They will all learn from this, we have to earn this and tonight they realised how hard and focused they have to be. It was an off night and we were due one at home, it's a wake up call. I fear for the next team to play us. Vinnie will be pissed and that's what we were missing tonight.

Milner must have been injured, there is no situation I can think of where any sane person wouldn't have had him on at half time, probably for Dzeko or negredo initially, with jovetic on for Demi later in the game once we had regained control of midfiled
I had no problem with the defeat, shit happens.I had a problem with the manager not rectifying a glaringly obvious problem for 94 minutes. Was very reminiscent off Bayern Munich at home.Maybe he really does not know any other way to play,i don't know, but doing nothing to try and sure up the midfield was criminal.zuricity wrote:Im_Spartacus wrote:

Demich should be no where near the starting line up . Ever.

You are not allowed to point the these things out. Edin had to work hard to try and create something out of poor crosses or corners. Yet he gets blamed for this rather than blaming the guy who put the poor pass in.

Good point. It also looked to me like Yaya couldn't be arsed because he had demich alongside. Maybe i'm wrong but he didn't seem to give a toss in midfield tonight.
However we stuck two +30 year olds in the middle of the park against youngsters. What way he thinking ?
Edit : very competent youngsters
