I, and I'm sure thousands of others tried long and hard to get a ticket for this very special and defining game only to find all avenues closed (unless you could afford corporate money), so settled for TV viewing.
It was always on my mind and I commented at work only last week that I bet there will be empty seats, which would be a crying shame.
Anyway at kick off as the camera followed the action, I was looking at the stands to see what I thought were pockets of empty seats and thought, no, cannot be, must be people wearing blue and my eyes are not what they once were.
Anyway, close ups at throw ins did reveal empty seats indeed. I know a lot has been posted on here before about people nipping to the loos etc so thought little else of it. After all, I could do knob all about it.
Imagine my horror hearing the announcer stating that attendance was 46037. That is over 1000 less than watched Chelsea in the FA Cup, which I was in attendance at (and still saw empty seats)
What's all this about then. Why for love nor money can we not get tickets only to see and hear of over 1000 empty seats.
Anyone any ideas as I've been scratching my head all day.

There was a huge section of the west stand upper for extended media and Barca didn't sell out their away end

There will never be a right answer to this as it seems day trippers got a ticket according to some, god knows how this can happen when real City fans are waiting for it to get to their allocation level to apply.

Surely not UEFA official delegated seats? They surely wouldn't have gotten stuck in a titty bar somewhere on full no Q's asked expenses would they? Never!!
