A man clearly out of his depth.A shame really as there is no way he will see out his contract in fact imo he will be gone in the summer.

Won 1 league game in Feb and got embarrassed by Olympiakos. That's a club statement basically saying 'Give him a chance' in the next couple of games otherwise he'll walk (be sacked). A bit like the dreaded vote of confidence whilst flicking the coin. A couple of wins and then it's all steam ahead, a win and a draw and he's just about safe whilst a couple of losses will almost certainly force the Glazer's hand.

Am I satisfied with his work; am I fuck. He now needs to keep the pace and fuck them right off. Out of Europe and a couple of losses in the PL will do for me, and if he manages relegation then I'll be a happy chappy.

Fuck 'em.

We need them playing on Thursday nights, Beefy. Not only will it fuck them up for next season, they may also miss out on the lucrative pre-season tour of the USA that we're going on.

Quote of the day:

busby (Manchester United): Well, it is a long list of ineptitude but Moyes has finally reached his low point. All he needs to do to get people off his back is to play well and start winning consistently. This letter shows that he is totally out of ideas on how to accomplish those tasks and is desperately reaching for an olive branch. A pathetic attempt to salvage a pathetic situation totally of this clown's own making

Well he's right isn't he. He didn't actually say anything did he, it was pretty cringeworthy to be honest and seemed to be having a go somewhat at the atmosphere at old Trafford being a part of the problem

Joking side, I thought Moyes was one of the most boring, anti football, cynical, managers around, both at Preston & Everton, but in his last season or two (obviously as his demo for Utd) I thought he got Everton playing more football, & when they came to our place last season, I thought he tactically gave Mancini a bit of a kicking.

So from my first impression of him as a Scottish Fat Sam, who only wins by ruining football, I had revised it to think that perhaps he was actually a pretty clever coach who could do a top job, as people said he could.

Having seen him in action for the rags, depleted squad excuses taken into account; he gives the impression that he hasn't got a fucking clue what he's doing. If Gus Hiddink took over that squad tomorrow, I recon they would improve about 50% instantly.

I have a different perspective mate and what could be better for their finances than being relegated.

I reckon the Rags would lose more from their commercial deals by actually being out of Europe all together. They'd lose UEFA money, some through sponsorship that they've cultivated, match day revenue, and of course, a couple of million shirt sales in some eastern suburb.

If they ever did get relegated to the Championship, I wonder what crowds they would then get at the Swamp ??

A reduced crowd of, say, 25,000 in a 76,000 stadium would look great to my blue tinted eyes and if that ever happened, the media would go into virtual melt-down.

They would all turn up for a season as novelty value, kick the shit out of Watford fans etc, wreck everywhere, bully everyone & be hailed as the most loyal fans around.

If they were there two seasons, the gates would drop 40%, down to div 2, gates drop 80% & go effectively out of business.

Last nights win was perfectly timed for two reasons:
1.) It gives them confidence prior to Scouse
2.) It edges Agent Moyes closer to getting his hands on the summer transfer cash .

In another masterstroke , he's put Stupidly on a new stg15m contract.

New 5 year deal for Xavi. Davey, I salute you.

And whilst them being relegated would be funny, they're a few years from that. It would require Leeds style problems - not in CL, so can't afford the top players, current players want out, replaced by mid-table players meaning you can't make top 4 and the spiral continues.

Relegation will never happen unfortunately. There will always be some mug to put money in.

Rags not being in top4 and not challenging would do for me

Five more years watching Cleverly eh ?

Rag season ticket gets ever more tempting.

The deal for Cleverly is probably the reason RVP wants out. Doesnt want to end his career playing with fools. A side point: what has he done to get a £10m loyalty bonus? He's been there 2 seasons and been handsomely renumerated

Well tbf, this is an interesting point of comparison.

We, along with most fans, & even Utd fans, think Cleverley is generally shite. Moyes thinks he's worth a five year deal.

Moyes gets paid loads of money, to manage 'The World's Greatest Club'.

If he knows his stuff, then we will see Cleverley mature into a very good player, worthy of a 5 year contract at TWGC, even if Moyes is sacked, & it will show how a pro manager can spot stuff we can't.

If he remains absolutely fuck all, then it proves that your average fan knows more about players than Moyes does.

Cleverly getting a new deal? Well done, Moyes. After yesterday's win I had doubts about his commitment to destroying the rags but this news has renewed my faith in the man. #forwardwithmoyes
