That is funny , Gerrard better then Yaya lol, there is no better midfielder in hes position in Europe.
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

If we do lose, it won't be because of Yaya. He always steps up in big games, unlike gerrard.

Big games are for big men and yaya is massive.

Aha, no chance at all he could find some slippy turf at a key moment then. So glad you cleared that up.

Might it be simply down to timing?

Maybe the votes had to be cast a couple of weeks ago when it looked like dippers might actually win it. Perhaps these hacks who one suspects, mostly support the dippers, thought it would be fitting for Stevie to win it.

The stars were aligned. The justice for the 96. He's a local boy. One club man. England stalwart. He deserves it. Take your fuckin pick.

There is no way in the memory of man Gerrard has had a better season than Yaya. Every single pundit, either in print or on TV, raves about Yaya and week in week proclaim him the best midfielder not only in Prem but often Europe

I am confident that Yaya's PL and LC winners medals will make him feel better about not winning this.

I don't know, but do the football 'writers' always agree with the players now, or have there been exceptions in recent years.
We know most players have a sheep mentality when it comes to voting and wouldn't be too hot in analysis - at least during their playing days - but are the writers afraid to be seen to be telling the players: "you really don't have a clue, do you?"

To be fair, I had Suarez Player of the Year last year - bite or no bite - but even a blind man could see that Yaya's been the best - and by a country mile - this season!

We are not United, Liverpool, Arse or Chelsea. We are not in the cartel. Thats why Yaya gets overlooked. Two titles in three years won't change it. Press bias. Oh look...City are top of the table. How did that happen? This season they forgot all about us again.

One day someone will realise Liverpool haven't won the league for 25 years (by next Jan)

I will savour this title more, if we do it, purely because the press have had such a love in with Rodgers and Liverpool. The Liverpool fans have got totally carried away. It wouldn't surprise me if the bus parade was all booked and paid for. Somebody on here said hotel rooms in Liverpool this weekend were all sold out.

When younger people ask; 'if Colin Bell, Lee etc were so good, how come they never won poty or have the same kind of recognition as Best. Law & Charlton etc ?'

Have a look at recent seasons & which players have been 'recognised' by the players & writers.

If the rags hadn't been totally shit all season, one of them would have finished above Yaya as well. Well two actually. There'd be one who actually played well, & a second one, just randomly thrown in, like Gerrard. Don't know which one, it doesn't fucking matter, they'd just pluck one from the air & in he'd go.

Utd, Liverpool, London. It has always been the same.

VIVA EL CITY !!!

Some take the bible for what it's worth.. when they say that the rags shall inherit the Earth...
Well I heard that the Sheikh... bought Carlos Tevez this week...& you fuckers aint gettin' nothin..
