What is the first thing you'll do when we win the league?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Singing songs about our direct competitors, surely we wouldn't do that?

Course we fucking would. We are now in direct competition with the likes of the Rags, Chelsea, Arsenal and the Dippers which creates a different mindset on the terraces. People can say that they've never seen it before and that's because we haven't been in this position before, or at least for many years.

The small-mindedness is actually from those who just feel it should be reserved for the Rags because that's what we did when we struggling to compete. We have now moved on and there's a real fight going on, not just on the pitch, but with the fans as well. It's only natural and something that we will hear more and more.

I'm all up for it. If the likes of Rodgers and Wenger can lead their fans to have a pop at us, then I don't need any fucking lead to give it the cunts back.

Fuck 'em, fuck all of 'em. Dog eats dog I say.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

The fact that you are missing the point speaks volumes. Like ted says it something Rags are known for not us.

FFS that quote coming from you is fucking rich beyond belief. You probably didn't sing it as you had your back to the pitch looking for people who werent proper mancs and telling them they are not a proper fan like you

Many City fans sat near me on Wednesday thought it was totally classless and unlike us to sing such a song. Leave the premature gloating to the scummy dippers.

It's not something City fans are known for.

On a day we play Liverpool, singing it at them then, sure, but singing songs about other team's players, & gloating about their misfortune, when we are not even playing them..

I can't remember us ever doing that before. Apart from about the rags & that's fair enough as they are our local rivals.

This is a new one & something usually only rag type fans indulge in.

It has put us in a different bracket & will probably stick there now.

Ted City fans are known for their humour, that song is funny to everyone but Liverpool fans/players.
Its topical because it had a direct impact on us and the fight for the title, if they won that game they would be a point ahead of us right now!

Do you think Gerrard watched the game the other night? You bet he did! Do you think he felt good about it, I bet he hated it. Anything thats gets under their skin at this late stage will do for me. I bet the barcodes will give anfield a rendition of it on Sunday as well.

I didn't sing it because I'm not a classless wanker. My point is that singing songs like that will make us look like real twats if we mess up on Sunday. Shame on any of you that stoopes to the rags and dippers level and sang it.

I couldn't give a shit if it upset the Liverpool fans, however, with the conditions on Wednesday night, I did feel we were tempting fate.

More than happy to sing it after the final whistle on Sunday. Or at least I would be if I wasn't in the family stand. I've convinced my 8 year old Zabaleta is a football man, but not sure what I'm going to do over Stevie G.

the timing is perfect! What is wrong with the lyrics? They do NOT say we are going to win the league, they just state about what happened as fact in the game to their Steve Gerrard tune.

Are you this type of superstitious person that thinks if we sing it, it might come back to haunt us? If so you should have preached that to liverpool 10 weeks ago when they were singing about winning the league.

Its a simple funny ditty that is topical now and will be forgotten very soon!

I sing he is a City Man to my youngest. I just ignored the Stevie G one, fortunately not many sung it near me.
