Would be so so funny to do this. Just to wind everybody up even more on the ffp bullshit.

It wouldn't work. It's a related party transaction so there would probably be some kind of market value adjustment in the FFP calculation.

So NYCFC could loan a big money signing to say Arsenal without any problem, but to City would mean sanctions. I understand why but it seems flawed and could be a loophole.

A loan to an unrelated party would probably have a fee attached to it to reflect the market value. For instance, if we wanted to loan Messi from Barcelona, we'd have to pay a considerable wedge, with the fee being higher as the length of the loan increases.

If we loaned him from NYC, it is inconceivable that we would be able to put zero through as the cost for FFP purposes. They would have to make some sort of comparison with what it would have cost if we'd loaned him off Barcelona, or perhaps how much it would have cost Arsenal to loan him, as it would undoubtably cost them a lot of money, and adjust the FFP calculation accordingly.

I've heard that he was going to end up there before he ended up at Everton.

You have not heard a single hint about anyone trying to sign him.

There have already been loan deals from MLS to Europe, so some market value has been set. It wouldn't be the same as getting him straight off Barca, as we'd be getting him during the MLS close season.

That could be a way of getting a decent star to NYCFC and improving MCFC for a short period.

Personally I cant see why a loan deal within the same company should be of any interest to UEFA - they aren't looking into any of our player transactions. Not as if we are receiving funds from 'expertise' is it? There may be a precedent but these were between different companies.

After all they want us to cut our costs.

They sign him now and then what? Loan him out until next spring? He'll be fit for a rocking chair if he's not active until 2015.

Bellamy.. on crutches. City fans , I believe, like our players who give a dedicated performance and Bellamy always did that. He and Bobby were always going to clash. Good player for us at that moment. Good man.

I'm not so sure that Manchester City FC and New York City FC are owned by the same company. It would be unusual if they were.

NY City FC is jointly owned by MCFC and Yankees ... so yes you are right, they both are not owned by a holding co. but City directly own NYCFC (majority shareholder).

MLS clubs are actually owned by the league itself and they share revenues with player contracts negotiated by the league itself. Each club has investors and ours is shared with the Yankees as a minority investor.

It's the only model that's shown the potential for gaining a foothold in this country.

I've posted this a couple of times on this site. Also MCFC is only allowed to loan 4 players to NYCFC. Sound a short documentary MLS did with Jason Kreis and his time working with Vieira and the EDS. It looked like that is where he was going to take his loan players from.

Will they buy Scott Sinclair? He'd do alright over there. They could use him in 2014/5 season to get the pitch ready and stuff.
