great team selection in the middle by Pellegrini today. Got Fern a rest and had a nice offensive midfield sub to come on for Yaya when we took him off early.

Ted Hughes wrote:Garcia had his most Barryesque game v West Ham. His reading of the game seems to have gone up a level as he gets used to the league.
But he is too slow for that job in this formation. We need someone who covers the ground quicker.

Or whether it was just an insurance keep Ferdy in reserve for Yaya's injuries. Or whether indeed Ferdy himslef is nursing an injury?
Either way he has done the job required.

He reads the game as well as Barry ever did and he's faster than he was at his best. He deserves his place in the Spanish squad and he would certainly be a constant in the England squad if he were English.
Ted Hughes wrote: No he doesn't & no he isn't. Barry is one of the best I've ever seen in that aspect & Garcia is nowhere near it, but is learning. Both similar pace;ie slow.

Garcia is more dashing and handsome though
