No surprises then, we get exactly the same draw as last year less Plzen, who aren't in it this year, for Roma, who wasn't in it last year.
It's not even worth watching as once the 1st draws come out there's no real luck involved. With the intra-country rules, the televised rules and the fact that there's seeds in the 1st place, you could realistically tell who is going to face who in each group. Bayern can't have another German club in their group so that gets rid of Schalke and BVB. City can't also have Chelsea or Arsenal in their group so that combined makes it difficult to draw anybody other. Then there's the match scheduling where teams of the same country can't play on the same time, one home, one away, thus declining the odds of a draw and making it meaningless.
They may as well just put the 4 teams together and draw for which group you're in rather than spend countless hours making it look as if it's not actually fixed.
I remember when we got Real and Ajax in our group and hearing that Ajax had drawn Real in their last 3 group stages. I thought at the time 'Unlucky Buggers' but it soon became clear that luck had nothing to do with it.
These are the Big Boys Rules' and we just have to play by them.
