We have on our books a player who could potentially be in the top 5 or 6 in the World. A player that on his day can almost single handedly destroy the opposition.
I don't know the real reason why he isn't playing to anywhere near that potential at the moment but it is clear that he is massively underachieving. Speculation has blamed it on Hughes, his injury, his lack of fitness, that he can't be arsed, that he is sorry he ever signed for us, that he is a troublemaker, a fairweather player who only comes out to play in the sunshine and then only when the game is at CoMS. All of it guesswork...the only thing we do know is...that we don't know.
If we let him go, we lose him and the possibility that his skills and talent will ever be put to good use in our cause.
I suggest that we have a little trust and a little more patience. We know how good Robbie can be. We have a new regime in charge, give them time to work on whatever the problem is. If they fail, we can sell him...IF THEY SUCCEED. WE HAVE, POTENTIALLY, GOT THE BEST PLAYER THIS CLUB HAS EVER HAD....Maybe it'll be worth the wait.
