He had a pretty terrible attackin game yesterday but he was involved in quite a bit of defensive work. And with a bit more luck in front of goal I think he would have been of the mark.
He seems to be trying to hard for me desperate to get going.
At least he had a go.
All the others had a few shots that were of the mark aswell but it doesn't seem as bad as they have all scored recently, whereas every miss of Robson's seems magnified.

He set up Petrov well for the goal and I liked his movement in the build up. I want to see much more from him though.

You are surely not claiming that he meant that?!

He was a liability yesterday, both in an attacking and defending sense. Hopefully Mancini can get the best out of him in the coming months, but at the moment he's not worth a place in the side.

He probably didnt mean it, but the record books have it down as an assist and if he had not touched it,it might not have found its way onto Martin's foot. And I'd disagree about him being a defensive liability. He played pretty badly for the high standard he is supposed to be but it wasnt that terrible really.Besides a few misplaced passes (which quite a few others were guilty off) the rest of his game was as average as everbody else.

Get rid in January for what we paid...then invest in someone who not only has skill on the ball but works for the team too

We have on our books a player who could potentially be in the top 5 or 6 in the World. A player that on his day can almost single handedly destroy the opposition.
I don't know the real reason why he isn't playing to anywhere near that potential at the moment but it is clear that he is massively underachieving. Speculation has blamed it on Hughes, his injury, his lack of fitness, that he can't be arsed, that he is sorry he ever signed for us, that he is a troublemaker, a fairweather player who only comes out to play in the sunshine and then only when the game is at CoMS. All of it guesswork...the only thing we do know is...that we don't know.

If we let him go, we lose him and the possibility that his skills and talent will ever be put to good use in our cause.
I suggest that we have a little trust and a little more patience. We know how good Robbie can be. We have a new regime in charge, give them time to work on whatever the problem is. If they fail, we can sell him...IF THEY SUCCEED. WE HAVE, POTENTIALLY, GOT THE BEST PLAYER THIS CLUB HAS EVER HAD....Maybe it'll be worth the wait.

Same here pal, like last year when he scored against WBA, he scored about 3 in the last 4 games of the season after that.

He's started the same amount of games as RSC since they both recovered from their respective injuries and IMO hasn't contributed nearly the same as him.

Yet RSC was slated and Robinho mollie-coddled because he is the darling of the club. Like I said above, he's a likeable bloke, but that's not enough. I don't want him sold but FFS lads he HAS to start playing like a British record signing soon or we will suffer for it in certain games and that can't happen... the difference Bellamy made in his short time on the pitch was vast and comprehensive.

He has to work harder on almost every aspect of his game and show desire and commitment. Because that's what Ronaldo did and he's who Robinho wants to emulate.

Mate unbelievable post, you just summed up my complete feelings on this matter, saves me having to type it all out! The comparison with his and RSC's treatment is spot on.

He should not be starting ahead of Bellamy atm, if he's not match fit use him as an impact sub and ease him back into the game!

Also does anyone else feel that he doesn't seem to want to take on a defender and beat him, he always looks to pass it off! Maybe I'm wrong but I could swear at Real Madrid he was more likely to take players on when attacking.

We know Bellamy cannot play every game, let alone 2 games in 3 days! The manager quite rightly elected to play Robinho in the HOME game and save Bellamy for the AWAY game. And Robinho isn't going to recapture his magic unless he gets some game time, let's give him a chance after his injuries eh?

Agree 100 % on Socretes usual wise analisys (how could be different in respect on a man who bears such a Nick).

Would also add: even I'd been pretty disliked by the seeing the performance of an alleged world classed efforting all he has to impress a new manager with that poor result, also a bit concerned about the overall talent, as usually when a top class player kicks well balanced do not fail that much I saw yday in a couple kicks, stops and easy pass: that indeed irrespectively to the fitness status.
(I mean leaving obviously a part Maradona, even if from the scrummed side of the town, anybody remember Georgie Best when kicking out of huge boozes).
However, I think is a duty of a good manager to carefully look after a Club's patrimony and this can only be perfomed by mixing hard traning with stable opportunity of playing official matches.
Hope for the best.

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

He will be back and soon and you will all wonder what you were talking about in December. Too good a player and talk of getting rid is just ludicrous unless Messi is coming to replace him.
