midweek games

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

It is so obvious that the Scum are being given every opportunity to get through by the repeated easy draws (impartial and random, my arse). This is clearly being set up to be a Scum v Dippers final on Gerrards birthday and final game for the club. It's a farce. And the wankfest that will follow will all be about how these '2 great clubs respect the FA Cup'. Let's hope Palace and Preston can upset the script.

Maybe TMM is suggesting we (MCFC and Chelsea) played a part in giving them this opportunity, now that would be some conspiricy.

You're one of the two that still doesn't believe there is a bias, am I right?

No you're not right.

I dont have the time or effort to justify myself but in a nutshell:

I agree about the bias based on the media playing to the biggest fanbases, and the powers that be ensuring the success of the "powerful clubs" (FFP etc). But NOT the ridiculous conspiricies about Rags getting a fair draw and the world and its dog being against city everytime someone says a bad word about us.

To be fair to TMM and looking at this purely objectively, there do seem to be a lot of coincidences occurring which might suggest that they're not quite the coincidences they seem to be.

It really does seem a little bit strange.

Well the only thing that has made the FA cup look favourable to the Rags and Dippers is the fact that City, Chelsea and to a lesser extent Spuds completely ballsed up thier comfortable home draws.

Its the reluctance to see the otherside of the picture that I often disagree with.

Well, if you agree that both the media and the powers that be have bias, then maybe you shouldn't be so quick to rule out the possibility of these parties acting on their obvious bias, through whatever means necessary... just a thought?

City & Chelsea lost due to being shit.

Liverpool almost went out last night due to a very generous penalty awarded to Bolton.

There is no question of anything untoward re this season's cup competition. It is just the uncanny stufiness of the rags kicking in yet again.

Yes, they are likely to get help from a ref if they need it, but that is down to ref intimidatiion, not a plan. It's the same reason they are in the top 4; because teams fail to kill off Utd when they get the chance.

But they don't plan to miss 4 chances from 5 yards before the game.

That and the fact that they can't win anything else, of course.

Thanks for your thoughts. In response - if certain people, of which you are included, didnt constantly whine on about conspiricies and agendas I wouldnt feel the need to point out the obvious flaws in a lot of the points raised.

As pointed out above, where I agree then I will say so, where I read bullshit I will call it. Doesnt matter either way, its all about opinions.

Well, if you didn't contradict yourself and carry on like a naive child, then maybe the whining wouldn't sound like whining.

Steady on old chum.

When you post comments like that it sounds as though you're declaring yourself to be the principled paragon of virtuous integrity and all embracing perspicacity.

Both the Rags and Dippers have struggled in the cup, like many of us, and if they both get through all their games, and if they avoid draws against each other, then I'll think someone has planned it.

I don't see both of them being kept apart and getting to the final. Just too much of a coincidence if it does happen.

You know there are some words that you know the meaning of and have no idea why or when you even learnt it, or have ever felt the need to use it? That's one of mine. Must have been on the Simpsons.
