We would be out of the competition without Jovetic's contribution.
If you want to live on past records, how brilliant have Aguero or Dzeko been in the Champions League for City in the past & how many games has Aguero been fully fit ?
Absolute bollox yourself mate. What, he set a couple up, what other contribution has he given? In fact, he was so out of form that he couldn't even get a start in most of the games and got hauled off at half time in another, or was that due to yet another injury.?
I know you've sang his praises Ted, and me too, but he's better than Aguero or Dzeko (?), you're having a fucking giraffe. Maybe if he could string a few games together then we might see the best of him but seeing as he hasn't then we're not going to get the chance. Fuck, Pellers played a half fit Aguero and Dzeko before he played Jovetic, that's how much faith he has in him.
So, talking shite eh Ted, please tell me why Jovetic deserves a spot infront of players that haven't just turned it on for a game or 2? Yes, we could've dropped somebody like Kolarov or Sagna but that's obviouslsy a tactical decision and with 2 forwards who have
PROVED themselves at City, and one that looks as though he has the talent, there was no other in the eyes of the non-Jovetic lickers.
But eh, it's all opinion.
Edin I agree he has a terrible season ,
The only part relevant to what I have posted. And that's from his biggest fan. And we are behind Chelsea imo precisely because Pellegrini changed the team to play a 'half fit Aguero'. I think we have lost every game when we have played a 'half fit Aguero' in Europe, as a lone striker.
Perhaps someone can find the bit where I said Jovetic is better than Aguero or Dzeko though, as I must have been typing in my fucking sleep, because I don't remember saying it.
The rest is basically just giving sound reasons why Jovetic deserves to be in the Champions League squad.
He might get injured, Aguero might get injured, Dzeko might play shit & kick the ball straight at the keeper with frank Lampard stood next to him available for a tap in, Bony might not settle straight in.
It's all a gamble.
I've said several times that I understand why Pellegrioni has chosen Dzeko on his past record, but people pretending Jovetic should just be happy about it & making sarcastic remarks about him are just basically having a go at him for the sake of it.
He's entitled to be pissed off, because he has done quite well in Europe this season, Dzeko has been fucking shit all season, & neither Dzeko nor Aguero have been that great for City in Europe in previous seasons. The odd goal amongst a large amount of fuck all has been the typical product from both.
So it's not as if Jovetic has let us down.
Pellegrini has made his decision based on the past, & on the potential of Bony. It is not based on actual performance for City this season. He may have got it right, or horribly wrong but if it was based on actual football this season, Jovetic would be in the squad. He knows it. He's unhappy about it, & he's entitled to be.
