We have to play Villa and the Saints before the end but not overly confident of any clean sheets. That's a pretty shocking stat and one that clearly proves constant changing of your back line does not work. A settled back line is a must for next season and also a midfielder that can defend.
May be a blessing that Kompany is injured and Mangala gets a bit of run in the side. I would sit Vinny out for the season and give him a long overdue rest, would probably send Zabba with him.

He has played none stop football for 18 months along with several others. It's caught up with them and this team. Problem is the Argies has another tournament this summer so again no rest for Zabba, Kun and Martin.

Not even close to being good enough. This inflated view of our young players is pathetic.

Mangala was shite so it would be good for him to get games. Zaba was shite. Demichelis was so so. Clichy wasn't that bad apart from the mistake for Felaini's offside goal. As fullbacks go, Clichy isn't that bad. There are few real quality ones. He is ok to keep as 2nd choice.
If Zaba comes back knackered next season he has to go. He was a waste of fucking time today & gets away with it because we all like him so much. There are few worse fullbacks in the league currently & he has cost us all season.
Defensively, Jason Denayer would piss on that rb spot now even though he's a cb. I don't know how he would be for energy getting up & down the line, but if he'd been playing, the first goal & possibly the 2nd & 3rd wouldn't have happened. As a defender, he would be miles better.

Mangala was shite? Apart from his fuck up on that goal I thought he did well.
