Simeone all day long. Saying that, my favourite ever City player is Tiatto. That tells you a lot.

You've just got a thing for leftbacks, no doubt you have a Stephen Jordan poster up in your bedroom.

An ardent Dortmund fan that I know thinks that Klopp has been found out and while he deserves credit for bringing so many young players through, it does seem like Dortmund had a good generation coming through and Klopp came in at the right time to manage the transition from youth teams to senior squad.
With that said, I value Klopp much higher than Guardiola. Klopp did not have a Messi or Iniesta hitting their peaks, nor did he have one of the world's three biggest football budgets to stand on.

It's an interesting debate isn't it? Much the same as the Guardiola thread, where things just fall into place, right person at the right time.
David O'Leary had a similar situation at Leeds, an incredibly talented group of lads either coming through the system or bought in to develop, yet it was Howard Wilkinson who did all the hard yards to get them to that point and of course he's now faded into obscurity.
I like Klopp, but I do wonder about whether he actually is all that good, or whether it just all came together at the right time. If city are interested, I'd prefer they let him go elsewhere first to see what he is like under different conditions and consider him as a possible candidate in the future. I'm not sure sacking Pellers for him would give us any guarantee of moving forwards next season

I agree, and we need to take that into consideration. Tbf to Klopp, although I don't know how controls the transfer policy at Dortmund, the club made quite a lot of good purchases of players besides bringing through people like Sahin and Götze. The purchases made under Guardiola on the other hand were a bit iffy, the purchase of Ibrahimovich for a record fee and then flogging him off to AC Milan the next season being the most conspicious.
I guess the argument for Klopp is that even if he came in at the right time, he made it happen. A lot of managers would've blown it and made Sahin shell shocked with too much and the wrong type of exposure, for example.
