If he is willing to wait a year, Barca & Real Madrid become favourites to sign him.
Barca could just buy him and loan him back to Juve and thus not break their transfer ban
No they couldn't as they are not allowed to sign anybody.
They are they're just not allowed to play them.

actually, from what I've read, that's not true. no new signings can be part of the first team is what i've read. thus, buying a player and loaning them back would circumvent this ban.

Sounds about right!

I think the wording is that they can't 'register' players.

Where did you read this?

Wouldn't that be normal? If they cannot register players then they can't loan them out.
I thought Barca's situation was that they could sell who they want as a ban on transfers out would go against EU law for those who aren't getting a game whereas incoming is a different matter as earmarked players have other options.

Maybe a ban on both buying and selling is against EU law but UEFA get them on registration. I'm not an expert but a couple of people I know say this is the case.

I think we agree, it's on registration and if they cannot register then they cannot loan them out.
Bit of a piss-take though, putting the ban in-place and allowing the ban to be opened just at the right time for them to get players in. One could be under the impression that this was staged!

I've always had this suspicion but why would PSG blow their whole kitty in terms of what UEFA can see on one player?
Why would they agree to this with Chelsea instead of buying him for fair market value and having enough left over to go for Yaya who according to a lot of a City fans they wanted last summer?

He sort of implied that the money under the table was more for the personal benefit of the the Quatari involved.
