Yeah, I think it was a mutual thing. He's shit scared of large Prem players & wanted to go home & we couldn't trust him in any position.

I think they should sack Guardiola after this.

Doesn't matter how good a manager you are when the opposition have a genius like Messi in their team who is back to his scintillating best. Although pre-match Guardiola did say that you can't stop a player like Messi

At least he got that right ;)

One thing is for sure. If Pellers had sent us out likePep and then lost 3-0 then lots of people would have been baying for his blood. Naive in the extreme.

Not sure if I want him now, looks like the players who save his bacon.

He stated that he'd need at least one goal which was an obvious tactic at the end. A statement like that says 2 things:

1. We're not good enough to stop them scoring at ours.

2. They're definitely gonna score at theirs.

Not too far outlandish but definitely plants the seed in his players minds.

Exactly. We gave Barca a much better game than PSG or Bayern tonight and got slated by the media for losing. Yet after these games everyone will be saying how good Barca are. People tend to lose all objectivity when commenting on us

There is a huge rebuilding job needs doing at Bayern imo. All their best players are old. If he stays there, then I can't see the point unpess he is staying for several years to totally revamp it.

He would have far less pressure doing the same job at City, as we are fucking useless in Europe anyway. They will expect to win it every year.

I thought Bayern played really well. One stupid individual mistake cost them. There is no comparison between the two teams. Bayern had nothing upfront, Alonso etc in midfield & Boateng at the back.

Let's not forget that this was Barca who were at home and it looked like Bayern were happy to take a draw until it was 1-0. Bayern had a similar situation against PSG so it's not quite over yet.

PG's tactics were shit from the off and they were obviously told that if they went behind that they's have to score, forcing the Bayern players to push-up when they should've held the game.

Taggart had the same problem in the 6-1. Mwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I just hear white noise when he talks, at least Henry and Carragher have a bit of knowledge.

I don't think they were playing for a draw. They just aren't that good without Robben & Ribery.

Missing Robben and Ribery was massive in that game. After the early nonsense Bayern were well in the game and with those 2 would have come closer to scoring and I reckon probably would have scored. Like taking Silva and Aguero out of City.

We will see (even if they are still missing) how good Bayern still are next week.

I'm kind of hoping they lose 10-0 & Guardiola's reputation takes a complete nosedive. That game showed to me once again, how important top quality attackers are to a defensive unit. I think we saw the same thing happen with City's youth team; the lack of the full attacking threat, allowed Chelsea to dominate & put our defensive unit under pressure. I also think Bayern would have been in front if they had their full attack. That changes the whole perspective of everything.

I think they are in big trouble now. But I thought that we had a better team man for man than the Bayern 11 we faced this season. We are just shit in Europe.
