Nine matches is probably only about 4-5 weeks at this stage of the season, I suppose.

It's a definite pattern.

Kieron Dyer needs to be our next signing.

oh wait, what's this?:

When asked how long the player is likely to be out of action for, Pellegrini said: "I think at least one month, one month and a half."

Delph's career shows that when he gets fit after injury, he quite often does not remain fit for very long. So far Fern 2 seems to have had a constant niggle since he joined us. I think we should look at bringing in a centre mid in January. The Count may be thinking of playing Nasri in there. I do like Nasri in a central role but only as 1 of 3, not the usual 1 of 2.

Much prefer him as a number 10. If we're looking for possible central midfielders to fill in, maybe Otamendi?

Possibly, as a short term fix but I think we need someone for the future. We did make enquiries about Pogba who would play centrally so hopefully we will find an alternative in January.

I think so too. Even if Delph and Fernando weren't risky as far as fitness is concerned, Yaya and F1 are the wrong side of 30 now and we need to start getting the next generation ready. Although as I'm typing that, Toure will still be the mountain at 35 and F1 has the engine of a Lambo.

I will put money down on Pogba already being a Barca player in all but the lodging of the paperwork. If we could get him, absolutely, he will be amazing for any squad, but I no longer think it's possible.

Timimg wise Id say you're right, but surely stylistically he's a much better fit for our squad. Granted I've not seen him more than a hatful of times, but doesn't strike me as a typical barca mid.
