To be fair Beefy, he's tried that formation a few times this season but with Delph doing on the left what Dinho did on the right last night, it hasn't worked previously but worked a treat last night.

The difference was that Delph stayed out on the left and usually to counter a specific threat whereas Fern not only went down the right, he was covering in the middle as well as getting in the box.
