We do have a Belgian kid(Denayer) loaned out though who won awards playing for Celtic last year. Work that one out???? Smells like Pellegrini.

Please explain. I completely baffles me how anyone could come to such a conclusion.

Because he's brainless, as yesterday's reason for him injuring himself shows. Almost everything he does is poor apart from shot-stopping (and that doesn't include shots from the edge of the area to his bottom lefthand corner, a la Liverpool away this season when he failed to save what was ostensibly a back-pass). But he gets a free pass because of he 'loves' the club. If we could get Neuer (with whom we've been linked with this season), the upgrade would be stratospheric (I know the odds aren't great on that happening).

How was yesterdays injury to do with him. It was Martins fault for playing him a hospital ball in literal terms. I am not saying Hart is the best keeper around, but I think hes not far off. His distribution is imo his weakest element. His shot stopping is decent and I think he is tremendous at 1 on 1s (although didn't happen for him yesterday). He has made some errors but equally he has at time single handedly kept us in games (the performance at Barca was ridiculously good).
But to say you never want him to play for us again is utterly ridiculous imo.

If he had a brain he wouldn't have given it to Martin in the first place. The same thing had happened about 5 minutes earlier: he gave it Martin, nobody from midfield dropped back to take it off Martin, their 9 chased Martin down, Martin had nothing he could do other than give it Hart who had nothing to do other than what he should have done 5 seconds earlier and booted it upfield. Only this time Martin fucked up and Hart did his leg in.

Notts mate we are in trouble in the prem whether or not.
I have already half resigned myself to us not being in CL next season. I'm just a very pessimistic half empty glass guy. I'm thinking without Hart, the confidence might drain further from the team and we might slump further still and miss out on Europa. Before we say great, shit competition, think how that might affect the transfer dealings that are in the pipeline already and those to be determined. Players want European football and Pep alone is not a big enough draw I don't think.
That's not to say Caballero will suddenly start to concede lots and I don't think he will. Its more of a psychological issue, rather like Kompany being out. The stats say that when Kompany plays we win more and concede less than when he doesn't. This then filters down to the players who are on the back foot before they have started. We have to play both Ferns as cover which limits our attacking options which in turn leads to more pressure on the defence as we don't attack as much. Catch 22. Hart is a big influence on and off the pitch.

Oh and it seems the injury is not too serious, reports suggesting City are hopeful he'll be fit for Paris.

Did I imagine us winning the League Cup three and a half weeks ago or did it really happen? If it really happened then we already qualified for the Europa League!

Is that a fact? Does the winner of LC go to Europa Lge?
And how about the winner of FA Cup?
And any prices for runner-ups?
I've forgotten how these rules go these days.

Winner of League cup goes into Europa, if we qualify top 4, then it goes to an extra league position so 5th and 6th will qualify.
Moonchesteri wrote:Thanks mate. How about the FA Cup?
The winner of the FA Cup earns automatic qualification to the 2015–16 UEFA Europa League group stages. However, as Arsenal qualified for the UEFA Champions League via their league position, Southampton, the highest placed team in the 2014–15 Premier League not already Europe-qualified took this Europa League place.
