Mr Popular strikes again, he Marseille BTW which explains his comments.
I've just read the comments on Sky and can't see anything wrong in what he said; although the headline is very misleading. He was asked if PSG could handle the rigours of the PL, to which he replied in a very respectful way saying that the squad they have would adapt because of the quality players.
He basically says that PSG are a match for English teams but not above them, pointing out that the French league is nowhere near as intense as ours, proved by PSG being 25 points (yes, twenty five points) ahead of second place.
Nasri can sometimes put his foot in it but this time it's the media twisting what he said for click-bait. Here's the headline and opening gambit, followed by his actual quotes. Unless I've missed something, they don't seem to add up?
Samir Nasri says PSG would find it tough on 'a Monday night in Stoke'
Samir Nasri believes Paris Saint-Germain would struggle to make their mark in the Premier League despite their runaway title success in France.
"It's true they have a big team, but I do not think they are above the others in England.
"There are no easy games in England, not one. I'd like to see Paris play a Monday night at Stoke, West Ham or at the Emirates against Arsenal.
"Today, the big four is no more. There are six or seven teams who can be champions. It's harder. But this is Paris, not Barca."
"Could they win the Premier League? Yes," he told Le Parisien. "They have everything - speed, talent and above all a great squad.
"Talent can make you win matches but only a collective allows you to win a league. If PSG were English, they would adapt without any problems to the local rhythm and intensity.
"Would Thiago Silva, David Luiz or Marquinhos be afraid in the Premier League? Certainly not. They're really great players who are capable of playing anywhere.
"The quality is there and it always makes the difference, whether that's in France or in England."
"Yes, PSG are favourites because we have a lot of injuries. We will sadly not be complete [as a squad],"
