Yes we won when we needed too but we were hanging on against an awful Watford side who should have equalised late on but missed an absolute sitter , it was Boro MK2 . Everyone I was with at the ground was relieved we won yes BUT it was the same shite we really are fucking awful and a few on here need to wake up and smell the coffee !
Steady on, you know that's well below the belt. Those who can't get to the games, for a variety of unimpeachable reasons, are fully entitled to imagine they had just as good a view as those who do.
And to have an opinion other than 'It was shit!'. Most know that I am a SC holder of many years but can't get to the game due to work. In all my time at the game there's always a vociferous bunch who will always complain, as if blaming all their woes on City. If it goes alright then they sit there mumbling to themselves and when it goes wrong, or perceived in their eyes, then the tirades come. Fucking useless cunt, Get him off, Shower of shit the lot of them, is what you'll hear whilst they turn around to their mate/spouse/child and tell them how they 'Told you so'.
Nothing ever changes and you can't have a decent conversation with them because they are so fixed.
Not to say that there are any of those on here but it stands to reason that there'll be a percentage base who will have a certain inclination to whinge at anything, even when we win.
One thing I will say about last night's games, obviously watching on TV, that it seemed to be one of those good old fashioned English games where everybody dug in for the team. Pep played a typical formation, not going with his favoured concept, and also allowed the players to hoof the ball whenever needed. He's also looked at the tactic of fighting for the second ball which is used to good effect by all English teams.
It may not have looked pretty, and we may have come under a little pressure (what team doesn't, it wouldn't be a sport otherwise), but we walked away worthy winners. Anybody can say that Watford should've scored with their only decent chance but if counter that with the fact we could've scored another 6. It's all just waffle to further the negative argument, just bluster.
So, not the best to watch but 3 points nevertheless and although I'm not confident going up against Arsenal, it's a step in the right direction.
