That said, it was only playmaking Arsenal. I still fear for our defence against teams that are going to hoof it up and over rather than try to patiently play through us.
For what reason would they have been ruled out? And if there was a reason why have Sky taken up the baton to insinuate they were given incorrectly even though all and sundry have said there was nothing wrong with them?
Every decision in every game doesn't have to be bias mate, fuck me they'd look fucking stupid if they did. I suppose you believe that all was right with the Chelsea game as well?
I think there is definitely a media agenda which is obviously commercially driven.
Call it protectionism.
I do think with Sky putting the money in they have too much influence in areas of when matches are played and what they choose to show or not show in match coverage.
I also think they may have influence in PGMOL and some refereeing decisions this year have been very heavily biased towards certain teams.
However it doesn't mean every official is bent. If every game was rigged I do think that our two goals yesterday would have easily been ruled out and it has certainly happened us in other games. They were legitimate goals and very tight decisions that the officials got right.
As stated, it doesn't stop Sky pushing their angle on things. I watched on NBCSN and got a totally different perspective, they went out of their way, in comparison, to show that the goals were good and were very fair in their analysis.
I still didn't see one replay of the penalty shout though, so I don't know where they got their original feed from, but I suspect it's from Sky. Le Saux kept on saying I'd love to see a replay of that, but none came.
I do believe there is an agenda, but I also thought the officials did well yesterday.
Maybe I've just become accustomed to us being screwed over, but yesterday gave me a sliver of hope.
Maybe if we get a fair crack of the whip we will get something out of this season.
Proof of the pudding for me will be seeing us get fair officiating against the Scouse and the Rags, although there is also an argument that can easily be supported that says it's events in games leading up to these games where we quite often get screwed over. Injuries, suspensions that shouldn't occur and being cheated out of points all adding to the pressure.
I've honestly been close to giving up on professional football, this year because of it. But I still remain hopeful that City will beat all odds against them.
Especially now. Despite people moaning about Pep. I really don't believe anyone on here really wants rid of him. I think some are more impatient than others, but you'd really want to be off your head to give up on him or the team now. This is the time to get behind the team. It will come right. I don't doubt that at all.
You can see elements of what Pep wants to achieve working. There's plenty not working, we know, but wait until he has The personnel to do the job. This will be awesome.
To be honest, some of the relentless whinging on here is as jading as the media agenda
