Yaya and Nolito in support not much better. No width, no one making any runs into the box, either near or far post. It's just too easy for Hull at the moment.
Someone needs to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and assert their authority. It's a scenario made for Yaya

Watch him signal before the pass, he may have been slightly off today but delivers when it counts...like a fucking boss.

Timed his run perfeclty. Should be benched the fucker.
Ha ha! Point taken. I think he's a fantastic goal scorer, particularly considering hos age. But he's not (yet) a fantastic footballer, so I do I understand why Pep doesn't start him.
He's a puppy, a work in progress, and we shouldn't treat him as anything else.
And as I've said to you before, he doesn't have that aura of effortless about him this season which he did last season. It's a shame and probably (at least partly) caused by a lack of belief in him from the manager.

I totally agree that he is a puppy. I don't agree that he is in any way hampered by Pep coming in though. A lot of young players go through a purple patch when they break through and seem to just burst of confidence, not realising how difficult football really can be. Next season, after a game or two where things don't go their way, they go into a dip. It's happened to countless of new Messis and Ronaldos at the swamp. How you get through that slump is the main thing - and I think Ian is handling it well. I also think he's being well handled by City, by not being forced to lead the line at such a crucial time of the season.
And with all that said, I would also like to add that trying to fit him into Aguero's role is trying to fit a Square peg into a round hole. Ian lacks Kun's first touch and technique. Imo he's predominantly a fox in the box.
